Real Estate agent in Olympia, Washington & Thurston County
Shelly has been a professional full time real estate agent in Thurston County for six years. In that time she has taken classes beyond those required. Shelly has mentored new agents on skills necessary to be successful in the profession. She believes that teaching is learning and loves guiding first time home buyers through the buying process. Recently she completed the National Association of Realtors’ E-Pro designation course. Being an E-Pro means Shelly is in tune with using the Internet in real estate. Shelly is also is also an Accredited Buyers’ Agent.
Shelly attended Central Oregon Community College before Oregon State University. She graduated from OSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts. Later she earned a Masters Degree in Education & Technology from the University of Idaho. Shelly was a Program Manager for School-to-Work programs before teaching with Pullman High School’s vocational department.
Being in the middle is second nature for Shelly. She has an older and younger sister and was the only female in her own family’s home with a husband and three sons. Negotiation and being resourceful were necessary traits to thrive in those situations. In real estate she is an expert at connecting with the client, the lender, the escrow agent, the sellers’ or buyers’ agent, the inspector etc. Being pleasant but firm and having a positive attitude are traits that are evident & effective in each transaction Shelly completes.
Shelly’s clients are not forgotten when the house is purchased or sold. She keeps in touch in a variety of ways. Here are some comments from clients:
